Peter is a singer songwriter raised on a farm in rural Western NY State. He has miles and miles of stories in his songs and many experiences to share about his life, laughter, sorrows and heartbreaks. He was influenced in his early years by the Beatles and Rolling Stones but slowly turned to singer songwriters in the early 70's namely Gram Parsons,Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris and Townes Van Zandt. Peter lived in Southern California in the early 70' till he moved back to Nashville years later. After a few years there he took some time off and went to SUNY @ Buffalo NY near his home town to study English Lit for a couple of years.
After college he started to venture off developing as a singer songwriter and finally moved to the Austin Texas area in 2006 and later released his new CD Peter Kalla and the acoustic twang band is filled with lots of his crazy experiences and where he lived, at last count 49 US states, Western Canada- plus Germany, Italy, and the Middle East gigging for the USO tours.He just released a new single off this CD (Love Lost Ways) through Acoustic Rainbow comp #35 track 18 to 1500 radio stations world wide.
